About David Yungmann
I've lived in Howard County for 30 of the past 37 years, in both Ellicott City and Western Howard Co. I've also lived in Towson and downtown Baltimore. I've worked in Towson, Anne Arundel Co, Rockville, Hunt Valley, Frederick, downtown Baltimore and of course Howard Co. I know the local markets as well as anyone in the business.
My career in real estate spans over 20 years. I've represented buyers and sellers in over 100 real estate transactions ranging from $100,000 condos to multi-million dollar commercial and multi-family properties. Six years ago, I decided to focus exclusively on residential real estate, helping people buy and sell homes in and around Howard County.
In addition to this wealth of hands-on experience, I believe on-going training and education are important in maintaining the technical skills required to provide superior representation and service. So, I've invested hundreds of hours in high-level programs such as:
* Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). The GRI program, which requires 120 hours of advanced training, has been completed by less than 10% of Realtors. It includes highly specialized training in topics such as advanced financing, environmental issues, ethics, technology, taxes, pricing, property marketing and contract law.
* Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR). This 3-day program provides detailed training in needs assessment, property selection, foreclosures and short sales, traditional and non-traditional financing, pricing, contract law and buyer agency.
* Certified Staging Professional (CSP). Preparing your home to show well is one of the two most important components of selling a home. David has the formal training and years of experience to help you identify ways to make your home show well and overcome difficult features of your home.
* Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). This program focuses on tax issues associated with selling a home, second homes, inter-family transfers and the role of real estate in overall estate planning.
When I'm not working on real estate transactions, I'm busy with my two children. They attend public schools and participate in many sports and recreational programs throughout the community. It's more likely than not that you'll meet them at some point in your home buying or selling process. And finally, I am very active in several community organizations. I'm the founder of three organizations involved in business networking and economic development and sit on the Boards of other groups. This involvement provides me with a valuable level of community knowledge in addition to the opportunity to help Howard County continue its role as the most desired place to live in the region.
