About Sharon Cogburn
I didn't set out to be a realtor, but it fits with my professional and educational background and my personality, and I'm so glad real estate and I found each other. Here's a little about me:
Education: I received my BA from Florida State with a double major in Communications and Government. I admit government is a stretch for real estate, but contracts and understanding the law as it pertains to buying and selling a home are extremely important. My interest in my second major, communications, is a reflection of the value I place in effectively communicating. It's a huge part of my job as a realtor.
I communicate individually with home buyers and sellers, but also with other agents and support professionals such as lenders, inspectors and attorneys. Written communication is an important part of the mix of being a top notch realtor. Having high quality, professional marketing materials is critical to a dynamic presentation of a home for sale, and I take great pride in producing materials that reflect the quality of the homes I sell.
Education continues to be an important part of my job. So far this year alone,
I have had the following courses:
- Advanced Marketing & Prospecting
- Search Engine Optimization
- Negotiating Strategies Phase 1 & 2
- Advanced Negotiating Strategies
- Home Marketing Proposal Workshop
- Ecertified
- CMS designation (certified marketing specialist)
- Relocation II
- How to write the perfect BMA
