I grew up in a tight knit small town with one blinking street light. I knew everyone on a personal basis. There was no such thing as a stranger. My wife is amazed to this day that the home town residents still wave to individuals who are passing through my home town even when they are out of state residents. There was always a strong sense of helping and caring for your neighbors in the town where I was raised. This way of life is instilled in me. Throughout my career I have always been involved in assisting others. This gives me great satisfaction.
