Individual who has met professional stan­dards of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor for signing the actuarial reports required by the Employee Retirement Security Act of 1974—Title II. An enrolled actuary may certify annu­ally that benefit cost and funding requirements of a pension plan have been calculated according to accepted actuarial principles as a best estimate of expected experience of the pension plan.
