Hedonic damages

In personal injury cases, damages awarded to the plaintiff for the loss of joy of living. For example, if a person's neg­ligent act results in damage to another person's leg, the injured person claims that he/she can no longer walk his/her dog and thus has been deprived of one of the greatest joys in the injured person's life.
