National Association of Home Builders
of the U.S. (NAHB)

Founded in 1942 and located in Washington DC, the NAHB has 155,000 members
with 824 local groups. Its membership consists of single, multifamily and commercial home builders. The NAHB serves as a public interest group to support legislation for the home building industry. The NAHB offers educational programs on a variety of topics of interest to the home building industry including construction and remodeling, mortgages, and management issues. It has two subsidiaries: the Home Builders Institute and the National Council of the Housing Industry. It also directs several councils including the National Commercial Builders Council, National Council of the Multifamily Housing Industry, National Remodelers Council and National Sales and Marketing Council.
