As managing broker for United Real Estate – Houston, Dianne Moore is a source of inspiration and strength to the associates she mentors and trains, as well as to the clients they serve. A certified real estate instructor for more than 10 years, director of the board of the Texas Association of Realtors and director member of the board for the Asian American Real Estate Association, as well as a successful Realtor in her own right for nearly two decades, Moore is passionate about the business. She holds several professional designations, such as her CRB and CRS, and her vast experience at all levels of real estate management – from developing creative strategies for marketing and pricing to understanding the nuance of contract negotiation – helps Moore effectively partner with all parties involved.
Prior to her career in real estate, Moore learned much about the intricacies of contracts providing support for some of Houston’s top attorneys – which proved a great complement when she made the leap to real estate, along with her degree in modern languages and her aptitude for working with all kinds of people. It also allowed Moore to indulge her curiosity in the growing popularity of the Internet. She became one of Houston’s earliest adopters of online commerce, using the Web as a listing and marketing tool. It’s been a pillar of her business strategy ever since.
So what does Moore like most about being a managing broker? “I absolutely love helping my agents help our clients in accomplishing their various real estate goals,” she says. “Even more, I’m humbled and so proud to see my agents grow into thoughtful, skilled and effective negotiators and strategists.” Watching her agents realize their potential – tuning into clients’ wants and needs, overcoming difficult situations, solving problems along the way, and coming up with the best outcome possible for both buyer and seller – excites Moore. “It all comes down to providing exemplary service, and I try to reinforce this value on a daily basis, whenever and however I can.”
Moore’s excellent leadership skills are reflected in her personal life, as well. Not only does she like to set an example her family can be proud of, but she’s also a leader in the community. Having been trained as a personal advocate volunteer for the Fort Bend County Women’s Center, she has spoken at several schools and businesses, and has taught awareness self-defense to female survivors. She says: “I guess I’ve always had a desire to protect others and take care of them in any way I can.”
