My wife and I have previously sold and purchased properties with the professional and expert assistance of Mr. Austin. John has negotiated on our behalf with skill and a keen sense of market analysis with the outcomes being in our favor. John takes whatever time is needed to find listings that meet our desires and will spend hours on end with showings. He never rushes us and when asked will provide expert advice. This year alone I had (7) showings with John, and (2) showings I went back multiple times. I didn't buy any of the properties and John never exhibited disappointment only appreciation for our business. We will continue to seek John's assistance with our real estate needs.

WE are tenants in a condo which is managed by John Austin. I have been in Real Estate for over 25 years and I was pleased to find such an honest and dependable person to rent from. I have had the type of landlords these other people are speaking about, and in all truth that is not John. Every issue is handled quickly, we talk all the time, and he always listens and responds where ever he is at the time.I would find it hard to believe that John would neglect any obligation, or not inspect a rental as John is very responsible and honest. I feel that the negative reviews I read do not reflect the John Austin I know and maybe they are speaking about the wrong person. The market reflects the rental amount, and maybe a market analysis should have been done by the interested party.

I have used John for many years with multiple lessees. In no instances have I ever had a problem with John. In fact he has gone out of his way many times to find the right lessee and has always recommended third party repair persons who did the job required at a fair price. I have always found John's word is his bond.

This review is purely to protect anyone from making the same mistake my wife and I did...by trusting John Austin.Mr Austin, besides finding renters for our property, sold himself as someone who would fulfill his written obligation as manager of our condo. We were away for 6 months and he was supposed to check our property, collect and deposit rent on time, and have the property cleaned after the lease was up.Let me start by saying Mr. Austin has little to no communication skills nor responsiveness once he has collected his commission. It is 3 weeks after our renters have left and he still has not responded nor reached out to us to close out our agreement.Here is a brief list (100% true and accurate) of Mr Austin's lack of professionalism.ALL of our leather furniture in the condo ($5,000 worth) has been destroyed by cats of the renters he found. All of our rugs were full of cat urine. Our contract firmly stipulates the condo does not allow pets. If he came even one time to check our property (as he was obligated to) he would have seen this.Rent, which was supposed to be deposited at the first of each month was never done. If lucky, he would complete this by the 5th-7th monthly.The water bill (which remained in our name) went unpaid by the renters he found. We had to pay their bill to keep service and our good credit. Again, he said he would manage the renters and make sure all their responsibilities were met.The condo was never cleaned after the lease was up...as written in the contract and pre-charged to the renters.The A/C unit was supposed to have filters changed by the renters (written in the contract). We even left filers for this. It was never done and the filter that was in place had 1/2 inch of cat hair on it.The A/C unit was supposed to be checked by a professional service (pre-paid) during the term. Mr Austin agreed to arrange this in our absence. It was never done. The renters left 7 days prior to the end of the lease. The electric service was turned off by them at their departure. We were never informed about this so as to arrange to have the electric service continued back in our name. With no A/C or refriderator, the humidity and smell in the condo (combined with all the cat odor) was horrible.REPEATED attempts to contact Mr Austin, either by phone, text or email went unanswered. The few times he did reply were short, uninformative and completely unprofessional.We STILL have zero contact from Mr. Austin (3 weeks after renters have left) to even return our keys or to remove the realtor box from our door.Be VERY wary of Mr. Austin. The service received is FAR less (almost non existent) than what he sells. Again, this review is not meant for anything other than a means for potential customers of Mr Austin to make an informed decision. We truly regret our decision to trust and retain his services (or lack there of).

My husband and I tried to find a property to buy in Naples a few years back. We worked with a few agents without success. I met John Austin at an open house and knew he was the agent I needed. His assertiveness, positive attitude, knowledge and energy was inspiring. He found us a condo that was rented at the time. The transaction was so smooth from beginning to end that we kept the renters and bought another for us. Over time we've bought 3, sold one and John has always managed the rented ones. Problems are always solved and rent deposited on time without fail. It's simple - After working with John I would never want to work with a different Agent!!
