About Judy Kitchens

Originally from Ohio, Judy is the daughter of a power plant construction engineer. As each plant was completed, her father moved his family to the next site. By the time she was 16, Judy had lived in most of the states east of the Mississippi River.

After graduating from high school in New Jersey, Judy decided to go to a warmer climate for college. She attended Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, Texas where she met her husband, an aeronautical engineer. Soon after marrying, they moved to Houston, Texas. In Houston, her husband joined NASA, and Judy completed her college education in chemistry at the University of Houston. Shortly after the birth of their son and the completion of the Apollo Program, they moved to Northern Virginia. Judy worked as a chemist in industry in the Washington, DC area for 20 years. In 1992, she started her own successful research and development company.

After retiring in 2007, Judy and her husband moved to North Carolina. They bought a portion of a dairy farm near Cedar Grove and built their dream home. They share their farm with three German shepherd dogs, three Chincoteague ponies and several cows that delight in eating all the grass.

Having experience many relocations first hand, Judy is keenly aware of the stresses that moving to a new location place on all family members. As a Realtor®, Judy enjoys helping people get started on a new chapter in their lives. She believes that the overall buying and selling experience should be exciting and even fun. Judy's goals are to help her clients make the right decisions and make their relocation as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
