As a first time homebuyer - and frankly, lulled by the rosy picture of home purchase being promoted on TV shows at the time - when I actually got into the process, it was intimidating. In addition I was enrolled in a special home purchase program that just at that moment was in transition, and there were not enough competent agents to assist the influx of members at the time. I remembered that a member of my extended family - namely, Alicia Richardson, was a real estate agent and reached out to her. After a bit of wrangling with the program to allow her to help me, Alicia went all out to find me a home that I could be comfortable with. She patiently explained to me what the reality of home buying was about and with her knowledge, negotiation skill, and perseverance, she helped me find a home suitable for me. Mind you. this was right in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis! Her indomitable spirit, and faith to believe that this goal was achievable helped me immensely to navigate the process. There is no doubt in me anywhere that without her timely intervention, her professionalism and universal knowledge of of real estate and the Washington Metro Area market, I would have wound up in the wrong house, or would still be renting. Mrs. Richardson was a breath of fresh air. She made me and my husband at ease with everything. Alicia, is a very pleasant person. She's one who first, listen to you to find out what type of home you're looking for , the area in which you want to purchase , your price range etc. and she takes it from there. She gets busy, putting all she have into finding you your home. She genuinely loves what she do and she's great at it.
