Our search for a home began with a call from Andy Lord all the way to Barcelona, Spain where we were living at the time. Andy was INCREDIBLY patient with us as we took the time to house shop while navigating an overseas relocation with little ones. He was straightforward and honest with us about the flaws he saw in the properties we visited, and was extremely knowledgeable about pretty much every aspect of becoming a home owner. We actually found the mandatory first-time homebuyers course to be a breeze simply for the fact that Andy taught us so much throughout the process!Andy and Patti are an A+ team, and their individual skill sets are a perfect compliment to one another. It is really not an easy time to buy a home in Portland and its surrounding areas, but they made us feel so confident and at ease with the whole process. There was never a question of whether or not we would find the home that feels right for us, and in the end they found us exactly what we were looking for. Andy (and Patti) helped us buy our first home. They were thorough and on top of any questions we had along the process! In each home we looked at they gave us expert advise on what to look out for, gave us accurate estimates on what things would cost to replace and came to each showing with any and all information they could find on that house. We worked with Andy, over the course of 6 months, to close on a place for our new business. At the beginning of our process Andy quickly got us in to see a number of options and was extremely helpful and informative as we walked through each space. He is knowledgable not only about the surrounding area, but also has a keen eye for structural and systems details. Once we found our place, Andy ensured our contract covered our best interests and then was an exceptional intermediary during unexpected contract extensions. Andy and Patti were incredible to work with! My husband and I were purchasing a house from another state and we’re able to arrange in person showing with them on our visit. They knew a lot of valuable information and disclosed important details about each property we walked through. They helped us through the negotiating period to get our offer accepted and were in constant communication with us each step of the way. They even have been kind enough to help us arrange repairs on the property we purchased. Start to finish was a trip in giving. By me giving up control and letting Andy and Patti do their work. The Lord Group is one of those companies that proved its return of value during my first meeting. Their guidance was invaluable. Their knowledge of current options and requirements made the process of moving understandable and attainable, not formidable. Both Andy and Patti made themselves available throughout the proceedings with lots of warmth and support. In so doing my confidence and success grew exponentially.
