Audrey grew up in Ocala, Florida, spending her weekends and summers riding horses at a local riding academy. Her passion for horses and farm life began when she was only five years old. That passion extended through her college years, where she received her BS degree in Sports Medicine from St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC. While at school, she rode and trained her horses out of “Horse Country,” an equestrian community located in Southern Pines, NC. It didn’t take long for her to realize that Southern Pines, with its quaint village streets and shopping, varied nightlife, and community festivities, was where she wanted to build her life! She has been a resident of the Southern Pines area since 1997, and she now resides just outside of Southern Pines in Carthage, NC, where she runs her own Spook Hill Farm and still actively competes in the sport of eventing with her horse, Oliver.

Audrey credits her love of real estate to her father. As the daughter of a licensed general contractor, mortgage broker, and realtor, she grew up “in the business.” Some of her favorite memories as a child are of traveling with her dad from jobsite to jobsite, listening to him speak with his customers and subcontractors, and learning how important communication, dedication, and customer service was to successful business practices. Audrey’s real estate career began in 2001, and she’s never looked back!

When asked why a buyer should choose her, she says “it’s simple. I’m a problem solver and I don’t give up where my customers are concerned. Their needs become the most important thing, and I work diligently to give them what they want. Whether it’s buying the home of their dreams, an investment property for the future, or land to build on, I guarantee that I will work tirelessly to guide them through the process from contract to close and beyond. My goal is to develop relationships with my clients and to become their “go to” for advice and guidance for all their real estate needs and those of their friends and families!”

Audrey has worked with all types of buyers, from first-time home buyers to those looking to buy their “forever home.” The fact that that her expertise in representing buyers extends from the single family home market to the horse farm market to land and investment properties makes her stand out from the rest. She is also a licensed residential contractor, and her broad knowledge of construction, permitting, and inspections gives her a unique perspective that helps her navigate the myriad of repair issues and other obstacles that can come up during a purchase transaction. Audrey is also a Certified Military Residential Specialist, and with the proximity of the Fort Bragg Army base just down the road, a large percentage of her clients are active duty military or veterans. She has intimate knowledge of the needs of military buyers and their families!

When asked why a seller should choose her she says “I follow through! From the first day of marketing until the papers are signed at closing, my sellers don’t have to worry about any of the details of the transaction. I implement state-of-the-art advertising procedures to maximize exposure, and I track the marketing and supply the seller with an overview of where his or her property is being seen and by how many potential buyers. They are never in the dark about how the current market affects their property: we have an in-depth discussion at the time of listing, and I update them monthly on market trends. I’m an expert negotiator, and my goal is to get them the highest and best price in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of stress!”

Audrey’s construction knowledge also provides an edge for her sellers. The pre-listing appointment often includes a detailed walk through and discussion of how she can save sellers money by addressing inspection issues prior to a buyer’s involvement. She helps with the identification and handling of “red flag” issues, and she takes the time to inspect all properties properly and ensure any necessary repairs are made. She knows the importance of “putting your best face forward,” and she recognizes that, by doing so, a seller will come out with a higher offer with fewer contingencies. Audrey understands that every property is different, and she customizes her marketing strategies to suit each individual property. Her expertise is in selling single-family homes and horse farms, golf community homes, investment properties, and undeveloped land alike.
