Homeowners now have the option of selling their own property with as much or as little help from the listing broker, allowing for a more owner “hands on approach”. Sellers have the ability to pick and choose what services they want from a realtor. Many owners are now looking to handle more of the listing and sale of their property, and thus saving on a large amount of money that is paid to the Listing Broker in the form of commissions.
There are many options available that will let the home owner choose what they would be responsible for and what the listing broker will be providing. Some of the options available allow property owners to deal directly with potential buyers, setting up and conducting home showings, directly receiving offers from prospective buyers and representing themselves at property transfers at the closing. You can choose as much or as little as you like.
The standard full service Broker is still available to sellers looking to have the Realtor handle all of the tasks needed to successfully sell your property.
