Background experience
I learned about real estate and purchased a couple of my own rental properties during the recession, and I fixed up a few to re-sell. After buying and selling some of my own homes and drawing conclusions from the learning process involved, I decided to become licensed and help others buy/sell/rent. Feels great to be able to share information from my own experiences and resources to help others who are trying to understand the process and what to look out for.
By actively assisting buyers, sellers, and renters, as well as renovating my own properties, I understand both the challenges and satisfaction that come with homeownership and home renovation.

Personal life
I have two awesome cats (both from a rescue) and a saltwater aquarium. I have had fish since I was a kid. I have an old passion for the ocean and the reefs, I love snorkeling, and I received my recreational scuba diver certification. I also love beach volleyball and have played in leagues with friends for years.

In the cold Spring season, I found Chris thru Zillow. Our first applicant became our tenant, signed lease agreement, moved in within a month. His performance exceeded our expectation. Chris lives few minutes away from our rental property, he is well experienced in the local market, provided reliable data to educate his clients, very honest and responsible, always prompt reply to our email requests, everything was transparent, he also has excellent negotiation skills to help us to sign a lease with 13 months contract instead of 12 months, which ended in a nice warmer season to take care of the house when this tenant moves out. He also provided us more information to find the property management agent thru his company. We highly recommend Chris to anyone is interested in rental property.

Chris is not only the best real estate agent in the Royal Oak and surrounding areas, he is a local home owner so he knows the schools, restaurants, attractions, safety, and everything else that would be important for a new person in the area. He also owns and manages successful rental properties in the area and knows the market in and out. Chris was patient with us, drove us around 3 separate days, until we got into our rental home. I will refer family and friends to him in the future.

Chris was great to work with. He was professional, always available for us to talk or meet with him, and provided advice to maximize our sales price (resulting in us selling for more than we had originally expected). Chris really handled the sale of our home as if we were family.

Chris did an excellent job marketing my house, negotiating with all the prospective buyers, providing the right guidance on just what needed to be repaired to sell my house, and even helping me find contractors to fix areas of my house that was turning away prospective buyers. He was patient and persistent. With some needed repairs, my house was hard to sell. There were over 100 visitors and only a handful of interested buyers. Still, Chris was able to negotiate with the right buyer and sell my house after a month. I worked with other real estate agents before, but no one worked as hard and stayed with me as long as Chris to get this deal done. I can't thank him enough. He's a true professional and would work with him again for my next house.
