Get to know the beautiful North Woodward Neighborhoods with a Lifelong Resident of Birmingham-Bloomfield area.
Born in Women's Hospital in Detroit, I was brought home to my grandparents home at 5 Norwich Road in Pleasant Ridge. My family lived there until our 1st home was finished being built on Latham in Birmingham. We lived there until I was 5. Then we moved to Bloomfield Village on Tilbury Road. We were next door to the Wilson's and the LaMarre's. Across the street were the Spencer's, the Kiltie's, the Morman's and the Stewart's. I went to Quarton School and had Miss Elisabeth, Mrs. Jones, Miss Rainey (Mrs. Rosborough), Miss Campbell and Mrs. Cutter.
In 1959 we moved to Martell Court in Bloomfield Hills and I went to Vaughan Elementary for 5th & 6th grade. In 1961, I was fortunate to attend Kingswood School Cranbrook. I finished up at Bloomfield Hills High School (there was only one back then!) in 1967 and went to SMU in Dallas, Texas for 4 years. After college, I returned to Birmingham. My 1st real estate job in Michigan was out at Adams Woods in Bloomfield Township.
