Desiree Hargett helped me buy my first home in April 2007. The process began in late 2006. As a “property virgin,” I was uninformed, indecisive, unfocused and nervous. Desiree was extremely patient with me and took the time to educate me about all things related to the home-buying process. Time and time again, she helped me understand things that I needed to know in order to make the right decisions and find the right house for me. By the time she sent me the listing that would end up being my dream home – in the right price range and in the right neighborhood – I felt confident and comfortable with my decision to buy. In addition, she was enormously friendly, accommodating and professional at all times – in short, an absolute joy to work with. I would definitely use her again when I am ready to find my next home.

Desiree guided me along with the purchase of my first home. Her expertise, intuition, and professionalism shined through from the beginning. She really listened to all of my wants and ultimately found me my perfect first home. The property ended up being a short sale, which made me very nervous, but Desiree made the experience as painless as can be. She stayed on top of the process every step of the way and offered me constant updates. She really took care of me, as her client, and made sure my best interests were kept front and center. My mother was so impressed with Desiree's skills as an agent that she decided to use her services when purchasing her new home, which was a task full of very specific needs. Desiree took the challenge head on and found her the perfect house as well. Now she is in the process of finding my brother a home. If you want a professional, knowledgeable advocate for all your real estate needs, look no further than Ms. Desiree Hargett! As a first time home buyer there was a lot I didn't know about the home buying process and to be quite honest it was a little intimidating. Desiree was there to fill in all the gaps in my knowledge and make me feel comfortable enough to approach with any and all questions I might have had. Her near 2 decades of experience in real estate provide her with a unique and wise perspective on the many intangibles of buying a home. Amazingly enough she applies this expertise without being inflexible. Desiree was able to take list of things that I wanted in a home and find many homes that matched them perfectly, even as my own desires changed throughout the duration our search. She WILL find you a home that you love within your parameters. Any challenges presented Ms. Hargett will find a way to make it work. Case and point, I purchased my home though a fantastic program called NACA and she was even able to flawlessly navigate their own internal policies and procedures, even if they weren't typical of a normal home buying process. In dealing with other real estate agents she holds them accountable and will fight for and not allow you to be taken advantage of. Desiree is timely and thorough down to the final punctuation mark. She pushed all parties involved to expedite timelines whenever possible and stick to agreed upon deadlines. Even as I was preparing to sign on the property at closing, she was present and continued to double check the contract. Her efforts ended up saving me from overpaying around $3000 due to a clerical error.Desiree is one of the best in the business and you would be remiss to not employ her services.

My wife and I were moving from California to Maryland and had a very limited window to travel to Maryland to do our house hunting, we were referred to Desiree through family and could not have been happier.Before out house hunting trip Desiree sent us multiple listings and asked us to comment on them to get a feel of what we were looking for. When we arrived in Maryland she had a very full itinerary prepared for us, each day she would adjust her listings based on our comments of the houses we had seen. Her patience with us went above and beyond the call. On the third day we had our Eureka moment, Desiree showed us a house that was everything we wanted and more .Through the the entire process Desiree was there for us. While we were back in California she stayed in regular contact with us to let us know where were were with inspections and all of the behind the scenes negotiations. She took all the stress and worry off our shoulders, there was never a moment that we felt we didn't know what was going on. When I arrived in Maryland Desiree was at the house to welcome me with keys in hand.We can not thank Desiree enough for making this the best home buying experience ever. Desiree was extremely helpful in assisting us in understanding the process and negotiating with potential buyers through their agents. Additionally, she was extremely helpful in coordinating requested improvements to the property as a result of multiple inspections. I would highly recommend Desiree to any prospective buyer or seller. She has been my family's go to agent in the purchase of three properties and in the selling of one of those properties.
