I was born and raised in historic Richmond, Virginia, and I attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, I studied 4 years at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry to obtain my doctorate degree. After practicing Optometry for 13 years, I settled down as a stay-at-home mom to raise my three lovely children.
I gained valuable experience practicing Optometry in Louisville, KY and Nashville, TN. I learned how to solve problems and reach out to people with specific needs and educate them where necessary. These skills help me today as an agent assisting my clients through the many detailed complexities of real estate transactions.
As a busy stay-at-home mom, I did-and still enjoy being active in the volunteer community through my church, various schools and well-established programs such as Friendship Trays, The Alexander Children's Network and Habitat for Humanity. I am also an active foreign country mission trip volunteer and an active tennis player.
I've always wanted to go into real estate to challenge myself and to stay abreast of the market trends, and I love to keep up-to-date with its laws. I enjoy the chance to gain a client's trust. How do I do this? By listening to my client's needs and wants and then delivering above and beyond expectations. The best compliment my client can give me in return is a referral and an opportunity to help him/her again in future real estate endeavors.

Being an absentee owner and investor, I needed an expert in the local market that I could trust to get my property market ready. Edie help me come up with a plan and schedule for the needed repairs. She met with the contractors and got the quotes I needed to complete my project. We stayed on schedule and got the property listed as planned. Because of her suggestions and planning, we received many offers and ultimately sold the house above the asking price.

Edie Butler was so accommodating to us under short notice, when my daughter was in town. We saw houses on Tuesday & Wednesday, made our offer on Thursday, and were under contract by Friday. We closed within 30 days, even in a sellers market. She knows the entire Charlotte area, and what is building in the future. She and her team were always available for any questions and did a complete and thorough job in obtaining our home. We look forward to working with Edie in the future.

Edie is very knowledgeable and proactive. She works very hard, and went above and beyond what my previous realtors have. I really appreciate the extra effort she put into my home purchase. She is very tenacious, and fought for me to get my due diligence deposit back after the property under-appraised compared to my purchase offer. She did all of this on her own time and knew she wasn’t going to be compensated, but she did it for me. I am so very appreciative!!
