On a personal note

I was born in Aspen, CO where I lived a very unique childhood. My two older brothers and I grew up in a cabin with my mother and father at almost 11,000 feet in elevation. This was not just any cabin, my father built it. He cut a milled the trees, poured a small foundation, and built our cabin. There was no electricity, phone service, or running water. It was truly a unique adventure to grow up this way. We had the entire mountainside to explore.

My fathers work brought my family to California when I was eight years old. I will never forget the first time I saw the ocean. I instantly wanted to know everything about it. I started studying Marine Biology at Cabrillo College. While I was in College I began my Real Estate Career. After receiving an AA in Liberal Arts I realized that I could not take both on at the same time. So here I am today, I chose Real Estate as my full time career and have been in the business for 9 years now. I still volunteer for Marine Biology projects when I have the time.

Why Real Estate? There are so many reasons why I chose Real Estate as my career; I love the diversity of the Real Estate industry. Every buyer is unique and every seller is different from one another. There are never two days that are alike in Real Estate. I can hold two open houses on the same weekend and they will be completely different from one another. I like being able to meet so many different people in and around my community.

Another part of the Real Estate industry that intrigues me is the historical aspect. I think it is interesting to see all the different aged homes in each neighborhood. Learning the history of every area, and watching history happen as new neighborhoods, schools, and communities are developed.

My career also allows me the time for my family. My fianc' and I love the outdoors. We go hiking, camping, snowboarding, or just a day at the beach or park with our niece, nephew and dogs. Family is always my highest priority. I believe that it doesn't matter how successful you are if you don't have anyone to share it with.
