Prior to joing Keller Williams, Mr. Bonk served as the Chief Financial Officer of Triton Middle East (a specialty real estate development, investment and structured finance firm that was formed to develop and invest in unique real estate opportunities in the Middle East) and was responsible for all aspects of the company's finance function including financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, strategic business planning, design and oversight of the annual operating budgets, short and long term financial forecasts, as well as the acquisition and financing of real estate investments.
Prior to Triton commencing operations in Qatar, Mr. Bonk served as the Director of Finance and was responsible for the financial management of various condominium redevelopment projects in the greater Washington, DC area. His responsibilities included project based financing, budgeting, interfacing with lenders, post closing matters and exploring additional opportunities for investment.
Prior to joining Triton, Mr. Bonk was a Acquisitions Analyst and Portfolio Manager for healthcare Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (NYSE: OHI). OHI owns or holds mortgages on 239 long term care facilities operated by third party healthcare operating companies. While at OHI, Mr. Bonk was responsible for providing guidance relating to the acquisition of over $450 Million in new assets; determining valuations based on cash flow, taking into account reimbursement rates, patient mix, occupancy, and operating expenses; and compiling due diligence, including but not limited to the physical plant, financial results, regulatory matters, legal matters, and tenant background.
Mr. Bonk received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland in 1998 and completed his MBA from the University of Maryland in 2004. He brings over 12 years of business management and finance experience to the business and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.
