In my early 20s, I became passionate about business. Having obtained a State license to trade commodities, I started my financial career with CIBC Oppenheimer assisting the commodity private client group.

Less than 2 years after that, the top producer for Merrill Lynch commodity private client group asked me to join his group.

This was one of the most exciting fast paced times of my life. As a young woman who was able to nail down her career path so early in life, thereafter securing positions at Salomon Smith Barney, AG Edwards then in my own local Brooklyn neighborhood branches of HSBC Brokerage.

I was hired by HSBC to learn the bank side of client services, and to help branches which were currently failing to meet their goals. In less than a year, I was able to help fast track those branches to exceed their annual goals.

I pride myself in a special kind of infectious mindset which produces high levels of motivation, positivity, and an overall good energy throughout any organization which I am in charge.

Client satisfaction and truly understanding a person’s specific needs is not only a priority but it comes naturally to me.

After I married my husband and we had our first son, I gave up my career to put my full attention on nurturing our son.

We went onto have two more wonderful sons and became a big family in search of a larger home with more property, nature and wholesome environment.

It was here where I experienced the process of buying a home from the perspective of the buyer.
There were many needs throughout the process I noticed were ignored, overlooked and disregarded with regard to client services. I wanted the realtor to be just as urgent, passionate and ready to find our new home as we were.

The totally avoidable stress levels were through the roof.

I realized there were many things this realtor could have proactively done to prevent this stress. After we were settled in NJ for a few years, I had the desire to take real estate by storm with superior client service and positivity just as I had done as a financial advisor.

I didn’t only study which homes sell faster and why, but I decided to obtain a very unique designation which would creatively provide a huge advantage to my clients. Home Staging from the level of Feng Shui was one area I found to be of tremendous value. This focuses on creating the best first impression to the buyer and marketing a home’s best features.

I studied how advertising was shifting more into social media and obtained expert private training in this area. I knew this would multiply the exposure for my clients home sale to be marketed online using every single social media platform targeting qualified interested buyers.

I studied the art of negotiation reading many books including one from a former FBI agent hostage negotiator. What better way to learn negotiations than from someone who has lives at stake?

I looked at creative ways to prevent problems from things like home inspections as well as appraisals BEFORE they even have a chance to happen.

I studied which lenders offer the best rates and service.

I studied which title companies offer the best service, which attorneys offer the best representations, which home inspectors offer the highest level of knowledge and are able to interpret their reports in a simple clear comprehensive manner.

Once I received my Real Estate State License, I quickly became a top producing realtor and I am currently continuing to take on new clients with a high focus on my unique process and a very high focus on client satisfaction.

I wanted to be able to truly give my best to my clients by knowing all of the inventory and immediate response time which greatly minimizes the stress of buying and selling a home.

I quickly developed skills like pricing homes accurately comparing which homes money can buy in different neighboring towns in several different counties to satisfy a buyer’s wish list. I often broaden their scope to more options and locations or if they want to focus solely on one specific town, I hyper focus on that one area. There are so many intricate details to analyze such as location, busy roads, square footage, shape and size of lot, condition of home as well as size, updates. Demand for that area is so important to know as a realtor.

    We interviewed 4 other Top Agents and chose Joanna to help us sell our home. Joanna is a people person, cheerful, positive, friendly and humble. The way we felt around Joanna was the way we wanted potential buyers ad other agents to feel. She is very genuine! Her experiential knowledge was really obvious and gives you the feeling she will treat our sale with a very personal touch, not just to get your listing but to actually work hard and be proactive. She has really good strategies to both attract and find a best buyer other than just putting it on the MLS. She advise us and personally staged our house with all her own accents and inventory to make a great first impression to what the buyers really like I today's market plus we loved her taste as well! She was present for and promoted all the open houses herself to bring in perspective buyers from many areas and accompanied each buyer throughout the house explaining all the key upgrades. The other agents told us they would send other agents to do these key things. We did receive a reasonable offer right away but she advised us to hold firm and wait for a better buyer for a better price and terms. Not once during the process did she try to get us to lower our price, instead she encouraged us to be patient for the right buyer and she worked harder. In speaking to our friends who sold we realize this is really rare. She truly was there helping us every step of the way, through every obstacle advising us of the smartest responses and the best steps to take which were to our advantage. In the end she was right and we received a better offer and had a really good experience making more money and saving money because of Joanna's quick thinking solutions to buyers inspection requests.     What can I say about Joanna? After we met with other top agents who all seemed great, we saw Joanna on an ad online and sent her a message because she seemed different in her approach. Without hesitation after speaking with her, we quickly hired Joanna to sell our house! She is definitely a unique agent that strategically sells your house and suprisingly her car plate also says that which we thought was great. She had prepared our house in way like 5 star resort. She went way beyond than an ordinary real state agent would do and had staged the house that will attract many buyers. She even did photos with drone and did narrated video. When our friends who always came over in the past reviewed the online photos, they were amazed to see how the simple steps she did helped turn the house into a completely new feeling and seemingly a completely new more desirable house! We felt secure because of Joanna’s strong financial background. This part saved us money! Joanna helped us in big underappraisal by writing a professional letter to the attorneys and helped us by diligantly contacting top lender professionals to back the letter up. With this extra effort, she helped us save money and concluded correct appraisal which preserved our original agreed price $25,000.00 More than what the buyer’s appraisal was!     Joanna did an excellent job managing the process of selling my home from start to finish. I have sold 5 prior homes, using realtors each time. Joanna was much more involved in the process than all others. Some highlights:* She actively planned out the process of decluttering my home and then professionally staging my home to optimize the first impression.* She advised on strategic spending in the kitchen and on the roof as well as some landscaping cleanup in order to optimize curb appeal, improve the wow factor, and minimize perceived costs by Buyer. I ended up investing about $10k into the house before putting it on the market, but then we listed the house $25k higher. * In addition to local marketing,, she actively marketed the house to NYC to take advantage of demand from New Yorkers interested in central NJ.* She connected me with vendors needed to simplify the process and to resolve minor repairs needed.* She organized all in-person showings so that she could directly market to each potential Buyer. She coordinated multiple offers on day 1 of showing the house resulting in a price $10k above our asking price.* She closely coordinated the post-sale phase to nip potential issues in the bud. She helped negotiate away Buyer's requests for credit through the inspection process.* Because I had moved out about a month prior to the closing, there were a number of activities needed in the house that she handled for me in my absence. This included covering our pool, hiring and coordinating an exterminator inspection, coordinating a few minor inspection repairs, and shipping packages.Throughout the process, Joanna was fun and friendly, and maintained a friendship beyond the deal. Although she has good interpersonal skills, she did get tough with vendors to ensure she was protecting my interests.
