We could not have asked for a better experience than working with Jodi Bakst to sell our house. She gave us excellent advice on preparing it for sale, and doing an advance home inspection to make sure there would be no surprises at closing. She found good comparables and made an excellent recommendation on how to price it, with the result that it sold within four days at a price substantially higher than the listing. And throughout the process, she and her staff were fully on top of all the details and thoroughly professional. All in all, a most positive experience.

This house was in a difficult area, and Jodi guided us through changes we made to be competitive. We were very happy that we worked with her. She was professional and responsive in every way. We were especially impressed with her help in finding and guiding people repairing the house, and in the people she recommended to help us present the home, improving a number of areas (garden, interior, virtual staging etc). I would readily recommend Jodi strongly to anyone.

Best listing agent in Chapel hill. I lived in Chapel Hill for 25 years before moving out, so I’m familiar with many of the well-known realtors in the area. Before meeting Jodi, I spoke with another agent to evaluate my home. She was very nice, but she told me that homes in my neighborhood were not selling well and She suggested listing my house at a price similar to another home on my street.However, my house sits on a premium lot, has a very unique layout, and includes many upgrades. Even so, the other realtor still felt we should list at a similar price point.Then I called Jodi.She arrived at my house within an hour carrying a folder full of research she had already prepared. After reviewing my home, she confidently told me she believed we could list it significantly higher than the comparable homes in the neighborhood — but she also explained that proper preparation would be essential before going to market.Jodi worked incredibly hard. She checked on the house almost every day. She designed improvements for the landscaping, coordinated painting for the siding, and guided every detail of the preparation process. At first, I was hesitant to invest in all those improvements because I wasn’t sure I would get the money back, but she was absolutely right.She spent an entire month preparing the house for sale. She arranged a pre-sale inspection and helped address the major issues ahead of time. She hired an excellent photographer, and the listing photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. She used virtual staging upstairs and professional staging downstairs, all while keeping staging costs much lower than we originally expected.Throughout the entire process, she was transparent, hardworking, and extremely dedicated. My house sold in just 5 days with multiple offers, plus sold price is forty thousands above the list price. I truly believe Jodi is exceptional at what she does, and I would highly recommend her to anyone selling a home in Chapel Hill.

This is our second time purchasing a home with Jodi representing us & I cannot sing her praises enough. Jodi went above and beyond to help us find our forever home (almost 2 yrs of searching) & then busted her butt making sure we got the VERY best out of our negotiations. In spite of an incredibly short due diligence period over the course of 3 major holidays, Jodi managed to get every single possible inspection & quote with plenty of time for us to careful consider our asks. She is a GEM! We joke but it's true - she deserves a room in our new house because she treated it as though it were her own the whole way through!

Can’t really say enough nice things about Jodi - in short, this is the buying experience we wanted to have and we would work with her again. She is professional, sharp, and punctual - her working in the area for many years became obvious with her knowledge of neighborhoods and market tendencies. She quickly grasped what we were looking for in a home and in seeing >15 homes, we never felt pressured to pull the trigger on one we didn’t “love”. If felt like she had our best interests at heart, and it was fun. She used her eye to help identify features that changed the value of the house, and picked things our we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed. When it came time to review inspection and repair items, she had numerous contacts at her disposal to obtain quotes (within hours) and help us understand repairs that should be immediate vs down-the-road and what they’d cost. We actually thought in the midst of COVID that we might have been her only clients because of how responsive she was to our texts and calls. Never took longer than a few minutes to get a hold of her, or an answer regarding a question on one of the homes. We did place several offers that were not accepted - each time we hadn't taken Jodi's advice. We listened to her the third time and now have our future home :).We have never worked with another real estate agent before but, as above, we would be lucky to work with her again. Thank you Jodi!
