We were contemplating relocating to Prescott and wanted to get a feel of the real estate market. We looked at a couple of houses with a different agent but had no rapport. We stopped at the office of Prescott Lakes and happened upon John. The first thing he suggested was a tour of the Prescott area so we could get a general overview of the entire area. Perfect! He reviewed our criteria and arranged for us to look at several homes. The most important thing he did was "listen" to what was important to us. As we looked at homes and my husband and I made comments about the homes, what we liked and what we did not like, John again listened to these comments. He then suggested we look at lots available and build exactly what we wanted because odds were there wasn't a home out there that met our criteria. I have continued to watch homes that come up for sale on the Internet thinking I might find an existing home. John was right, it does not exist! We have purchased the most perfect lot for what we want and John is by our side through the entire process of building!

We were out of town people selling a property from a trust we were responsible for. We had no contacts in town and no easy way to monitor any work needed on the house. John was our "boots on the ground" and took care of putting us in contact with any contractors we needed as well as monitoring their performance when we were unable to do so. On top of all that he did a great job negotiating the sale price.

My wife and I were new to Prescott and knew very little about the area. Contemplating moving to the Prescott area from Southern California, we found John Gordon's extensive website on the internet. We contacted John and set up a time to look at homes and possible build lots in the area. John spent many hours with us educating us about the area concentrating on our needs. John is the go to if you're seeking to purchase a house in Prescott. He has deep knowledge of the area, and was a valuable resource for my wife and I during the process from relocating from Ohio. I was especially impressed with how much he remained in contact with us throughout, with at least weekly update emails. Also John will be very honest with his assessment of a house during a walk-through. This was especially refreshing. He was not there to sell a house, but help you find a home.
