Kathy was recommended to me by a number of people I know when I needed a buyer's agent. She was amazing from day one. She was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Kathy negotiated a better price than I thought was possible and when the sellers agent tried to pull a fast one during the closing, Kathy professionally took control of the situation and saved the deal. Kathy still keeps in touch with me and my family, and I just can't imagine ever using another realtor. If you need a realtor, you owe it to yourself to see what Kathy has to offer. Re: Kathy Weithman representing me as the buyer of her listing.

First off I should mention the property is an RV lot that Kathy Weithman has listed in Punta Gorda currently priced at 15,999 and has been on the market for nearly 2 years. She may be driven to provide better service by a larger commission but for me, this was my experience with Kathy Weithman at Paradise Park 46900 Bermont Rd Punta Gorda, FL.

At first she was really helpful with general questions about the property and area etc. After having her send me paperwork for my offer of 10k, I decided, before signing, I had better do my own long distance homework from Minnesota.

I discovered a big list of issues with lot 168 all of which I shared with her in a detailed email. Among the issues was the lot size that she continues to list at 42ft wide, it's not, it's 30ft wide. Big difference when planning out your space for a motorhome with slideouts. The other information shared with Kathy Weithman was the front, side and back setbacks and the current position of the screen porch and shed. After my research on park restrictions and building codes, it was determined that the position of the screen porch and shed would need to be moved as the old phase 1 builds set the 10ft wide screen porch centered on the 30ft wide lot, not allowing enough room for a motorhome with a slideout. That's a big deal! All the buildings would need to be detached and lifted and moved. Along with that, electrical, plumbing and all other utilities would need to be re done AND added concrete to place the buildings where there is currently grass.

So, after sharing all that with Kathy Weithman, I asked her to change my 10k offer to 2k and send me paperwork. She then stopped all communication with me... just cut me off! In hopes to share my offer, and the reason behind it, to the sellers I actually had to contact another real estate agent to assist me. They, or she, said the sellers are not interested in selling at that price and refused to counter offer. To this day I doubt she even presented the offer to the out of state sellers. Because I didn't believe that she presented my offer to the sellers, and I questioned her on that, she was annoyed with me, contacted my agent and told her to lecture me on "proper etiquette". That's funny... maybe now, after my review, she will follow her own advise. Start with listing the correct lot dimensions!

Kathy was the listing associate for a vacant lot we were looking at, even though that lot didn't work out for us she was very willing to help us on others that were listed with Zillow. Since we were from out to state I emailed Kathy to give here the dates we were to be in town to look at other lots and she was very willing to make her self available with short notice. I know that there's not a lot of commission to be made on vacant property but Kathy was just as interested in finding what we wanted as if it were a $500k house. We did find the lot that we liked and she helps us though the buying process in short time. We were able to leave knowing that everything was taken care of.

We have been visiting Port Charlotte for several years and have been watching for a place to purchase. Kathy was terrific. She continued to send possible properties without any pressure. She knew exactly what we wanted and that was the only properties she showed us! She was very knowledgable about the area and service providers, which we greatly appreciated since we are from out of state! She also had very good incite into the property value and was able to close a deal to everyone's satisfaction very quickly! We used Kathy Weithman to sell and purchase our homes. We love her! She is very knowledgeable, as well as friendly. She is so good, that she sold our home twice in 60 days (first buyer fell through). Kathy will help you fight for what you want in a purchase/ sale. I felt like I was a very high maintenance buyer/ seller, and she never once complained, or made me feel like I was a nuisance.
