I started visiting the barrier island destination of Siesta Key in 1994 and when I graduated from Allegheny College in PA, I purchased a beautiful baby blue sportscar with a sunroof (Of Course!)and set off for sunshine and blue waters to embark on my experience in the resort/hospitality business. I was blessed with the opportunity to work right in the heart of Siesta Key Village within my family-owned, boutique property and I began my career in tropical paradise. I have always been very involved with the Siesta Key community via the Chamber of Commerce and other efforts to promote the island in its best light and keeping visitors informed on local events, weather conditions and other happenings via social media sharing. Environmental and social causes continue to change our landscape, but the thing that remains the same is the feel as you walk onto the beach and hear the Gulf waters lapping across the shoreline. I have done a good deal of traveling but am always happy and excited to get back to my hometown of Sarasota, FL and digging my toes into our exquisite, quartz white sand beach. I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge of the area with you

Education

I received by Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. This is a specialized track which emerged at the intersection between traditional economics and business. It involves new understandings of how organizations succeed within their competitive environments and the roles managers play in fostering success. Through case studies, internships, and interactions with practicing managers, students learn how economic theory and quantitative methods can be used to solve managerial and business problems.
