About Linda Schlitt Gonzalez

In their 58 years of ownership, they built the company into the most productive real estate brokerage firm along the Indian River, selling more units than any other company for seventeen (17) of the most recent years. Ed Schlitt was well known statewide as a result of his many years of service to the industry. He served as President of the Florida Association of Realtors, Regional Vice President of the National Association of Realtors, as well as local board president. Marguerite also served as local President of the Realtors Association, and they are the only husband and wife team to ever serve as Chairman of the Florida Real Estate Commission.

Ed and Marguerite's daughter, Linda has been associated with the company since 1972, having served in every capacity from sales agent, sales manager, branch manager, Chief Operating Officer, and now as President. She was also President of the Indian River Chamber of Commerce in 1998 and is a Past President of the Realtors Association of Indian River Economic Development Committee.

Ed and Marguerite's son Steven joined the company in 1998 after selling a very successful developement and architectural landscaping company in California. He has an advertising and marketing degree from the University of Florida.

Linda Schlitt Gonzalez and Steven Schlitt presently co-own the company and are both Presidents. With over 120 full time sales associates, our company is known for its excellent training program. Some of our recent technological innovations include a national website that enables consumers to enter their home requirements and search the website to find home that meets their needs. Then our agents follow up to further assist in their search for their ideal home. All of our listings appear on the Realtor.com website and the Coldwell Banker national website. Many of our agents also maintain individual websites to attract even more buyers. Our services include a concierge system for locating area services, a closing coordinator, and customer service coordinator. In addition, we maintain an active rental department and a property management service. The real estate industry is changing rapidly, and it is imperative that you choose a company that stays on the cutting edge to connect with more buyers than the competition to provide the level of service that consumers expect today.

Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906 when Colbert Coldwell, a young real estate Sales Associate, observed families trying to piece their lives together following the disastrous San Francisco earthquake. Together with Benjamin Banker, our founders created a company with higher standards than the post earthquake opportunistic Sales Associates who acquired property from vulnerable sellers and then resold it at huge profits. Coldwell and Banker saw the need for honest, knowledgeable real estate professionals and we have kept their vision and mission in mind for over 100 years.
