I am writing to offer my highest recommendation for Lucille Ettere based upon the work she did for my family as our real estate agent. After the passing of my mother, my family began the process of selling our family home in Somers, NY, where my mother had lived since the late 1960s. After initially interviewing different agents, we hired Lucille Ettere (Houlihan & Lawrence) as our agent. Lucille was wonderful to work with and demonstrated great insight into the real estate market in Westchester County. Since most of my family lived hundreds to thousands of miles away from the home, Lucille had the unenviable task of being our “point person” on the ground in Somers. Prior to the house being ready to sell, it was in need of a great deal of work. Lucille shared her insights on what jobs should be completed and what jobs prospective buyers might prefer to handle themselves. As we cultivated bids from different contractors, Lucille offered to meet with the contractors, letting them into the house, showing them work that needed to be done, and conveying our wishes. This was no small task. Lucille was our eyes and ears on the ground - having Lucille on the job was like having a general contractor on site.From our family’s end, we often made decisions “by committee” which I can only imagine would be frustrating for any agent to deal with. Lucille never became impatient with us, never tired of our questions, and never expressed frustration with people pulling her in different directions. She worked hard to accentuate the positives of the house and to highlight its assets to prospective buyers. Lucille was always available to us and responded to each of our concerns in a prompt manner. She provided her opinion on matters when asked, but never tried to impose her point of view on us. She is pleasant and professional. Lucille continued to work hard on the sale of the house right through the day of closing, which was the day before Thanksgiving 2014. Winter weather and late delivery of documents threatened to prevent the closing, but Lucille worked closely with our lawyer, attending to details through the final signatures.I can’t image having successfully sold the house from miles away without Lucille’s steady and consistent attention and insight. Our family had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Lucille Ettere recently while selling our home located in Mohegan Lake, New York (upper Westchester County). We feel fortunate to have had her as our real estate broker and representative. She exceeded our expectations in every way and therefore, we feel compelled to write this recommendation on her behalf. We decided to put our home on the market in August 2017 as we were living overseas and as a result of a change in status, decided we would be there longer term. It was a sudden shift and we needed to find a realtor that was professional and would work with us quickly, efficiently, and remotely. Lucille was recommended to us by a top real estate law firm in the area. She was a top producer in our area with 27 years of experience. She came to our first meeting with research in hand - she knew the neighborhood, comparables, statistics, and the market. She was open to ideas, had a vision of how to sell the home and above all was “real”. She was a nice person, down to earth and spoke directly and to the point. Acting quickly was not a concern for her. After interviewing a number of agents we decided to proceed with Lucille. We are thankful for that decision! Within a week she had our home on the market, worked with us to design the brochures, took pictures for the listing, made a number of home recommendations for the viewing, put together two open houses (one for realtors and one for the public) and started to spread the word. In the subsequent weeks she did another two public open houses, kept us informed on home statistics, and followed up repeatedly on every lead. Her communication was great, also, as we were overseas already two weeks after the home was placed on the market - what’s app exchanges, emails and calls. Nothing was ever “too much” - she checked on our home every time after a walk through to ensure things were closed and the house was armed, she let professionals in if something was needed, and she was always happy to make extra calls or trips for a showing. We had a number of leads and negotiation opportunities. She always helped provide advice, acted in our best interest, backed up her thoughts with statistics and acted quickly as to not lose a sale. She has been in the industry and community for a long time and knows other realtors and the ins/outs of the business - this became very valuable and priceless. When we reached an agreement on the house we entered into contract immediately. She was present for the inspection, walk through, negotiations, and final house closing. Above and beyond her professional demeanor, Lucille is truly a genuinely nice person. One that is trustworthy, warm, fair and personable. As for most people selling their home is the largest personal financial transaction, it is key to have someone you like to work and speak with for this endeavor.We, therefore, would recommend Lucille to anyone considering a home sale in the Westchester County and beyond. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable with zoning issues, certifications, statutes, and other administrative red tape that could delay a sale of a property.Always followed up and answered requests, information needed, by both the seller (me) and the buyer's representation.Recommended good businesses or individuals that could perform any work that was needed or requested for the property.Always went the extra yard for her client.

Lucille Ettere was an exceptional agent. I've experienced several in our long search for an acceptable buyer. She stands out as being the best. In January, 2015, I was lucky enough to answer a real estate ad for a house on Lake Dutchess, in Holmes, New York, which was represented by Lucille Ettere. My family and I visited that property the following weekend. It wasn't quite right, but Lucille had brought a listing for another house across the lake. She asked most diplomatically--because it was more money--if that would be in the proper range. It was, so we saw it the following weekend, and I made an offer quickly. Here is where the legend of Lucille starting growing: She knew so much about everything I had to do, and in so many case simply took care of it for me. Because she knew the area, she was a huge and singular help in providing names for services such as inspectors, lawyers, insurance brokers. Further, she had to deal with a hard-to-reach seller's agent, and a harder-to-reach seller's attorney--all done with great efficiency and good cheer. I began to save Lucille stories for my adult son (who'd been along on the first viewing)--about the extraordinarily helpful things she did beyond the call of duty. And I still tell people how, at the closing, when I was reminded about signing up for electric and gas, Lucille rattled off the phone number of that utility, by heart, adding, "then hit option 4." I still smile when I think of that moment as so very characteristic. Her work for me was outstanding. Lucille assisted as we searched for a home in the Somers area. As we were previously from lower Westchester, we found her to be very knowledgeable about the area. Lucille was a joy and ourvoice of calm from minute one! First, she took my long distance call before our move back to NY. She found us an affordable rental, where all of our animals allowed and it had a HUGE yard!Next, she helped us find and buy a home with older parents -- to fit 4 adults, 2 big dogs and a cat. When closing took too long and there were local Building Dept. concerns, she went to the wall and to that office, to make sure our needs were met in the town.When we wanted to sell that big house in hip Fleetwood, NY, Lucille helped us sell it. She listed the home, but wisely told us what needed paint and updating, relisted it, and then got us our money's worth. At the same time, Lucille became a family friend and had found us our forever home just north of Westchester. We have a horse farm now, a big inground pool and a tough commute, but we come home to heaven. We could not have done all this with the sellers, buyers and RE attorneys required in our state, if not for Lucille's expertise, knowledge and finesse. Lucille sold us a unit at Heritage Hills in 2016, she rented the same unit in 2018 and in early this year of 2019 helped us to find a rental for us to live in for one year also at Heritage Hills. So, we have been Lucille's client three times in a short time. We have got to know Lucille well. After she sold us the condo we did not hesitate to offer to Lucille the sale of our house in Bedford. Two words define Lucille, integrity and honesty. She tells it like it is or she will not tell you at all. She is a very gracious person with a high level of pleasantness interfacing with people.
