Mary Heed has always loved real estate. When she was 12 years old she presented her parents with a long list of items that needed repair in her home. Little did she know that first punch list would lead her to real estate.
Mary was raised in Cornwall NY and went to college in Boston. After college, she settled in Manhattan & worked in the media industry for 25 years at companies like MTV, Nielsen TV ratings and A&E.
After years in corporate America, she wanted to be closer to family and moved back to her hometown of Cornwall NY in Orange County. This was a chance to re-invent herself and she started a new career in real estate focusing on flipping houses. Home design and construction was a lifelong dream so a natural next step would be real estate sales. Her knowledge of construction serves her well in her sales position.
As a real estate salesperson, she prefers a very consultative approach. Mary believes clients are best served when they spend more time listening than talking. She takes the time to understand the needs and desires of her clients.

I truly don’t know how to put into words how incredible Mary is. My husband and I were first time homebuyers, who started looking for a home in this crazy 2020-2021 market. From the start Mary was so responsive and knowledgeable about all things real estate. She worked with our weird schedule and kept us realistic about the process. Mary was truly an asset when it came to seeing houses that had some major and minor red flags. She is not at all the agent that is just trying to get a sale out of you. She made us feel like our goals and best interest was ALWAYS the priority. Mary knew how to work our offers to make them standout amongst many others. And finally, because of her experience in every aspect of real estate, she helped direct us to some of the most diligent inspectors, roofers, contractors, etc.

I recently sold a house that I had listed with Mary. It was my first time selling a house so I had a lot of questions/concerns as I was a newbie. Mary was very responsive in answering my questions/concerns which kept me calm throughout the process. Mary was also able to recommend contractors for repairs and a lawyer for the contract/closing, both of which provided quality services at a very competitive rate. Overall the house was listed and sold in a timely basis at a price above listing so I was very satisfied with the process.

My husband Steven and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Mary Heed as our real estate agent, we just moved into our beautiful new home in New Windsor. As first time home buyers, she took us through every step and was always responsive to any of our needs. Mary was professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable in our house hunting process. We began looking in early September and Mary made sure to be on the lookout for exactly what we wanted, and was always prepared to relay any information she had. She answered all our questions with confidence and she was also able to offer excellent information about the area, school districts, etc. In addition to helping us find our dream home, she walked us through every step of the home owning process and even went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the smallest of details. We will miss working with Mary but so are incredibly grateful that she was there to guide us through this journey. For anyone who is looking for an experienced, professional, and kind real estate agent - look no further!

If you have a home to sell, or are looking to buy one, your first — and only — call should be to Mary Heed. I recently sold the home that had been in our family for nearly 70 years. Mary treated it as if it were her own. Her guidance through the entire process was immeasurable. Her grasp of the real estate market, her understanding of who the potential buyers might be and what those buyers would expect to see, helped inform the many decisions that had to be made. Mary was truly a partner through the entire process. I no longer lived in the area of the home, so Mary took it upon herself to hire the best local tradespeople to make the necessary repairs and upgrades that would make the home appealing to buyers. Her keen stewardship reaped immediate rewards as multiple offers poured in within hours of the house being listed. Mary will make you feel like you are her only client, working tirelessly on your behalf. I’m confident that you won’t find a better advocate. Call her.

I highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for a real estate agent. As first time buyers, she guided us through the process, always being responsive and answering every question we had. Mary was always refreshingly honest with us in regards to opinions on homes, and the "ups-and-downs" of the home buying process.

Very personable and felt like family after a two year plus process of buying our home. She sold our home over ask within a day of it being listed. She found us our forever home and took the time to make sure it was perfect for us. Mary notified us as soon as our house was listed and arranged everything with the builder to make sure it was ours. She walked us step by step through the entire process and we still stay in touch to this day :)
