Matt is/was truly wonderful- he was knowledgeable and proactive while understanding the issues we had and being sensitive to our needs. He made numerous useful suggestions and was always courteous and professional while also being kind and considerate. He went above and beyond in making sure everything went smoothly and followed up afterwards : he even helped with some issues that were not in any way his responsibility. We have had a dream of an experience with Matt. We were referred to him by very happy friends, and we couldn't be more grateful! Matt was extremely knowledgeable and available. He knew what to look for in a house and what problems to watch out for. He was able to guide me through every step of the home buying process and even helped me get situated after closing. He was also excellent at negotiating repairs etc. with the seller and saved me a few thousand dollars in closing costs. Matt also responded very quickly to texts and was able to talk with me and view houses with me on weekends and at other odd times that fit my schedule. 10/10 would highly recommend. He goes above and beyond to make sure you get the perfect house and that there are no unresolved issues once you move in.

I was looking to buy a house from out of state, and also had a very specific, immovable budget. Now that the stage is set, let’s talk about my experience with Matt. He was extremely patient with me, especially when it came to explaining the nuances of the real estate sale/purchase process in NC. He provided advice and opinion as and when it was appropriate. Matt drove all over town to check out houses for me, chase seller agents, HOAs, etc etc to make sure I had all the details to make informed decisions. We did several virtual tours and it was about as good as the few did in person. Matt was always available for any questions I had, or any doubts even. 10/10 recommend working with Matt!

I decided to buy a house in Dec 2023. It was my second time buying a house, although it might as well have been my first time because the process was so different the second time around. Matt was recommended to me by a friend, and I can’t overstate how grateful I am to have had him as my agent throughout. From our very first conversation, Matt listened diligently as I rambled on and on about the kind of house and neighborhood that I was interested in. I sent him a few houses that I wanted to check out, and within a couple of hours he had scheduled tours and found other listings that matched my criteria. The very next day we toured several properties, and by the end of the day he helped me to structure an offer on the house which I won against two other bids. Matt left no stone unturned throughout the due diligence period. He pointed out the features of the property that could be to my advantage if I decided to resell, as well as detractors that could make the house less desirable. I felt confident in my decision making with his support and counsel, and he took care of obtaining multiple quotes for necessary repairs so that I didn’t have to. By the end of the due diligence period, I knew exactly what sort of challenges I’d face if I moved forward with buying the house, and with the multiple quotes I could approximate how much I would need to fix up the property over time. Matt used this same information to negotiate concessions from the sellers in the amount of 4.5% of the original asking price!!! The negotiations were predictably challenging, but Matt was relentless. Sometimes I felt like giving in and asking for less but he assured me that I could, and SHOULd get more for the amount of work I was going to have to do on the property. In the end he was right, and I am now a happy homeowner :DI can’t overstate how awesome Matt has been to me, and he has a client in me for as long as he chooses to be a real estate agent.

Matthew worked with our unique family situation (4 adults going in on a house together) and made our home buying process quick and straightforward. When the first house we wanted to look at didn’t meet our standards, we were expecting to have to wait weeks before we found the right place for us. Instead Matthew found us the right home next day, and we had our offer accepted before bed that night. From start to finish Matthew was knowledgeable, friendly, and amazing to work with. Matt was very helpful in the whole buying process. He knows the area well. He is honest about what properties are a smart investment. Sellers may be going through foreclosure or divorce and not be in a good mood; he can be the calm deal maker in a difficult market.

Matthew was very knowledgeable and able to communicate with both the knowledgeable house purchaser and the less knowledgeable. He is a great asset to any purchaser of a house. He has a list of contacts for lawns, gardens, cleaning, anything you need prior to moving in. He made the purchasing process so smooth and easy. No question is silly or stupid. He is always available for you.
