About Melissa (Mel) George

I'm passionate about offering great service, and make it my mission to go above and beyond. I love to really help people - from educating them to helping them build assets and wealth for their families. Stable families help revitalize communities and in Oregon, we're proud of our communities. After moving to Portland in 1998, I received a B.A. in Communication Studies and Spanish from Portland State University. I have volunteered hundreds of hours with organizations such as Portland Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program. Through my volunteerism and work experience, I have realized the importance of homeownership and have a strong background in financing, construction, building systems and home improvements. Since becoming a Realtor® in 2006, I have served as a Local Director for the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors® (PMAR) where I also sat as VP of Professional Development for two years, and have been a PMAR PAC Trustee since 2010. I am also currently a State Director for the Oregon Association of Realtors® (OAR). I appreciate you taking the time to read my bio, and I look forward to guiding you toward your real estate goals.
