Licensed in April of 1988, I Graduated from the Realtors Institute in November of that year and received my Broker's License the following May. I was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 1997 and earned my Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation in 1999. As your Realtor I feel it is my job to:
1. Bring you market information, 2. Assist you in interpreting that information, 3. Discuss and understand your goals and time frame, 4. Market your property and give you feedback, 5. Assist in negotiating 6. Follow through until closing. I assist but you make the decisions, because, after all, it's your house.
REGIONAL FAMILIARITY - I have vacationed in the Chain O' Lakes area all my life, choosing to settle here to raise my family in 1986 because I loved the area and the lifestyle.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT - I have served as Vice-president and Director of the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce, President of the Fox Lake Elementary School Board, and 1999-2001 President of the Fox Lake Economic Development Corporation. I have been a Member of Mensa International since 1982.
REAL ESTATE - I am a Lifetime member of the Illinois Association of Realtors Diamond Club with $8 to $10 Million in sales each year. As a Member of the Lake County Association of Realtors I have served 8 years on the Board of Directors and am currently President-elect. I was selected as Associate Realtor of the Year in 1995. I have been a Licensed Continuing Education Instructor for the State of Illinois since 1993 and have spent many years teaching classes for the Board of Realtors.
PERSONAL - Married since 1975 to my wife Maxime with 2 children, Alexander born in 1983 and Geneva, born in 1987. I play piano and sing professionally, appearing at local clubs and charity functions (see the Michael Lescher Band link) and spend my leisure time boating on the Chain O' Lakes.

Michael is a long time family friend so when it was time for us to sell our house and start our retirment in S Carolina he was who we called. Michael knows all the ins and out of real-estate. The lady who bought our house used michael as well. Even though our closing was the same day as our closing on our new house in SC. Michael made it posiable for us to be in SC to sign on our new house as Vickie was signing on our Fox Lake house. What a wonderful experience Thank You Michael for helping us live our dream .

As a first time home buyer I had more questions than you can imagine. Michael always took the time to fully explain everything to me and patiently answered any question I had no matter how small. He helped me find the perfect home for my needs and budget and did not stop trying until we found the right place (this was admittedly not an easy task). I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

Michael was most knowledgeable about the area and available homes. He was easy to work with and follow-thru was excellent. I was most apprehensive about buying (I just moved from California) and a recent widow with no knowledge of the process, and he was most patient with me.
