I am a native of Crestview, Florida. I have three children. My daughter lives and worked in the movie industry in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate of Florida State University (Go Noles!).
My oldest son is ex-army and is back in Crestview and has been attending Northwest Florida College while on the coaching staff at Crestview High School for the Football team. (Go Bulldogs!). My youngest son (6'1″ and l98 pounds) is currently attending Troy University as a Freshman. (Go Trojans!)
I attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Okaloosa County graduating from Choctawhatchee High School in l983. While in high school, I was active in club activities and cheerleading athletics. After high school, I attended Okaloosa Walton Junior College for one and a half years.
Following that, I entered into a successful family- owned business until the first sale in 2003 of part of the business, Quality Lubricants, in which I was a 25% owner. I then continued my 25 year career in the petroleum industry, Tate Oil, until the sale of this business in 2005 to Phillips Oil Company. My primary responsibilities while employed in the family business consisted of: Accounts Receivable (30 million/mo.), payroll duties, collections, and HR. I was also the active key person on fuel contacts with Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP, Citgo Unbranded Product and Murphy Oil Unbranded. My title was Executive Vice President for the last ten years in the oil business.
After the sale of the company, I remained until all collections were made. I then transitioned into real estate sales with a primary focus on new construction and existing homes and commercial real estate. My career began at ERA American Realty where I won many awards in the first two and one half years. I was a Top Ten Agent with ERA. After leaving ERA, I came to Pelican Realty and Development.
The real estate market has fluctuated greatly during my career in it. My start has been slow, but my main focus has been to stand by my WORD since I firmly believe that at the end of the day that is my primary concern. With me, what you see is what you get. You may not always like my answers, but you will always get my honest opinion. To my clients, I strive to sell them the home of their dreams.
With today's market make-up changing in Crestview due to the incoming military forces, the larger companies are now taking a renewed interest in our town. We will see many changes related to this.
