Meet Peggy Hoag - Principal Broker Licensed in Oregon and Washington Here is my story: In 1991 I determined real estate was the career for me. As a young 5th generation Portlander, I had moved abroad for 10 years returning home at the ripe age of 27. After all the places I had been I came back to my home town. I believed other people would be moving to Portland too, because it is such a great place to live! I got off the plane, bought a home and went straight to real estate school. At that time real estate was not online. Most brokers worked 1 neighborhood. This was called "farming". So I did the opposite. I set out to build my business in all 4 quadrants of town, and soon after added Clark County and the Gorge. My focus was to help people moving to our fine region. My purpose was to develop a deep understanding of the community and culture variations of the different neighborhoods and to share this knowledge with people moving here. I soon discovered this relocentric approach increased my ability to expose the homes I was selling to a larger segment of buyers. This was my exciting discovery and how I entered this wonderful business! ~Peggy
