Over the years we moved 15x to further my husband's career in Hotel Management. Every move our Realtors said "you should think about coming to work with us". They liked my personality and energy. After we settled in Columbia near Lake Murray in 1991 and our girls were both doing well in school I started to think about a career in Real Estate when Kirstin was nearing her graduation from Irmo High School. The past encouragement stuck with me and I became a Realtor in 1993. I am a nurturer and love to help people. I learned a lot with our buying and selling and also what I could offer to make a move easier for buyers and sellers. I offer value added service to sellers and buyers. I was born and raised in a small town in Northern Germany near the Baltic Sea. I was involved in extra-curricular activies through school and church. After I graduated I persued a career in the National Health Insurance in my state and attended a 4 year business school that I graduated from. I also worked at Private Insurance Companies. I met my husband Peter in Switzerland. I lived and worked in England to test my english speaking capabilites before coming to the US in 1968. We travelled and lived in several countries and continents. Over the years we moved 15 times North to South, East to West as well as Asia and Australia. I learned to be flexible and to adjust to different customs. I have been a buyer and seller many times gaining personal buying, selling and moving experience.
I raised our two beautiful daughters and volunteered in their schools. School was very important to me and that they got the best education earning credits for high school and college as well as scholar ships. Both graduated from the Unoiversity of South Carolina, BS Business Administration. I was involved in their extra curricular activities and volunteered with that as well. I enjoyed always our landcaping and flower gardens. Entertaining business associates of my husband, friends, family and neighbors kept me busy planning, baking and cooking, which I all love.
We relocated to Columbia in 1991 and made the Irmo-Lake Murray area our permanent home. In 1993 I decided to become a REALTOR® with the desire to help people move and make a difference. It was my goal to assist buyers and sellers achieve their goals and dreams by focusing on their needs. My clients have said many times "You love what you do and it shows". Yes, it is nice being able to say I Iove what I do.

My current hobbies include spending time with my family, gardening, baking, and traveling. While raising our 2 daughters I spent a lot of time volunteering in their schools and supporting my husbands career as hotel executive and entertaining.
