Any golfer will tell you that on the course, it's essential to know your surroundings. Possessing a familiarity with how the prevailing wind affects a hole or how a putt will break on a green can make the difference between birdie and bogey. Scott Lincicome couldn't agree more. As a former professional golfer who competed on the mini tours and served as a club professional, Scott possesses an intimate familiarity with many of the country clubs, golf courses and communities throughout the Southern Pines region.
It's this in-depth local knowledge and connection with influential people that makes Scott such a valued resource in Southern Pines and Pinehurst real estate. But that's not all that makes Scott a good guy to know.
Scott's home course is the Country Club of North Carolina, where his grandfather was a founding member of the club. Scott was raised in Atlanta but spent a lot of time with his grandparents in Pinehurst, learning not only the finer points of golf, but life lessons in general. When he was four years old, he recalls his father and grandfather presenting him with "an old sawed-off club," and Scott quickly fell in love with the game.
Buying or selling a home in Pinehurst or Southern Pines isn't something to be taken lightly. You need a local expert on your side, and no one fits that description better than Scott Lincicome. Call him today to schedule a private consultation.

We hired Scott and Kristin Hylton in July 2024 to sell my father's house in Pinehurst. I would not recommend them. Rather than provide expertise/guidance on the correct listing price for the home (we had a price in mind but wanted guidance), they went with the price we wanted, which was top of the range. They could not give me accurate information about how they were marketing the home, we had to call them repeatedly to correct the informaton on the MLS listing, and found they did not adjust the printed flyers when we eventually dropped the price of the home. We had to ask for regular updates on the status of the listing as they never called us. They had an open house that two people came to, one of which was a neighbor. As we live an hour and a half away and the house was empty, we had to come down regularly to check on things and the last straw was finding the back sliding door left wide open after a showing earlier in the day ... when I called Kristin and Scott about it, they seemed unconcerned and she asked whether we wanted someone to come by after the showings to make sure the house was secure ... something Scott had already assured me was supposed to be happening (but apparently not). Kristin told me during that same conversation that the house was priced too high and it was our fault because we insisted on listing it for too much, which was not true - we repeatedly asked them for guidance on the price. We needed to sell the home to raise funds for my father's care ... their disinterest in doing anything cost us four months of carrying costs before we finally got smart and terminated the contract.

Scott and the rest of the team are a pleasure to work with. Scott worked hard to make our deal work and get us in our new home, in a brand new neighborhood. My family is very grateful and we look to refer Scott/BHG and the rest of the team whenever I can.

As an Army family, we've moved many times in 20 years and have worked with many realtors. Scott Lincicome is the most knowledgeable realtor with whom I've worked. He represents client equities passionately but tempers expectations appropriately based on market conditions. Scott personally devoted a goodly amount of his time showing us potential homes and then assisted us throughout the buying process. Moreover, I was impressed with Scott's understanding of our needs as a military family. If you're moving to the Fort Bragg or Moore County area, contact Scott. You will be very satisfied.
