Shavonya was very knowledgeable and helpful with my home buying process. She walked me through each step and made the experience positive. We were supposed to close in October and that was delayed for another 3 months. She kept me calm with whole process. It was a short sale that ended up having a few “hiccups. In July 2019, I was referred to Shavyona by her colleague and my close friend who no longer was in real estate. Shavonya immediately reached out to me to introduce herself and to inquire what my needs were. I informed her I was in the process of getting my finances in order, but would soon be ready to start the buying process. She understood and told me when I was ready she would be ready. Shavonya is very professional and knowledgeable. She told me about programs that my lender did not inform me about. We started the house search in September 2019. Through my many questions and doubts Shavonya made me feel comfortable. No question was too silly for her. She was very patient and understanding. She kept me abreast of what potential sellers were looking for and even what other buyers were going for which meant I would potentially be in a bidding war. After looking at about 20 homes in various locations, I became a bit discouraged. I would submit offers and would not win them due to either the seller wanting to pocket lots money or just accepting better offers. Shavonya gave several suggestions on what may entice the sellers, but never did she pressure me to do more than I was comfortable with. I even went to an open house without her and fell in love with the house. I called her immediately and told her I wanted to put in an offer. She told me she would have the papers over to me as soon as she could. In about 3 hours I had the papers and signed them to get the offer in. My offer was not accepted, but she assured me that the right house was out there for me. When the home I had my eye on became active I immediately text Shavonya and told her I wanted to see the house in person. The house was an as-is property and Shavonya advised me what comes with an as-is property. I told her I was willing to chance it. She called the sellers realtor and coordinated a viewing for that evening. This home was the one. I was able to close on the home by my deadline of Thanksgiving thanks to Shavonya. Through many text, emails, and phone calls I found the perfect home. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, knowledgeable, patient, and willing to go above and beyond, Shavonya Munford is the realtor for you! Her response and turn around time is impeccable. I am very appreciative that she was the one to help me find my home.
