Sonya Dodd came into my life at one of the most difficult times anyone could, after the loss of a loved one. For several months after my husband passed away, I tried to decide what was best for me and my grandchildren. I called Sonya one evening and told her my situation and asked if she could help me. She began to work on a comp for the house and advised me what the steps would be “if” I decided to sell but never tried to encourage me one way or the other. She did a lot of work for me never knowing there was going to be anything in it for her. She let me know she was there for me if I decided to sell and would work to get as much for the house, for me as her client, as she could. She just let me know she was there if I had any questions or needed to talk and waited for me to contact her.I decided to look for a house to move to before I sold the one we were living in. We moved into our new house, about four hours away from Knoxville, and I found myself in a very difficult place, trying to get a new house ready to move into and get my house in Knoxville ready for sale. There was no way I could drive backwards and forth that distance. Sonya helped me get the house ready to be shown. She set out to make sure the house looked its best. All the touch ups and clean ups were done and she even took a paint brush in hand when it wasn’t like she wanted it to be. She set up an Open House for Sunday and began showing the house on Friday. When Sunday rolled around there was no need for the Open House because we had received five offers on our home. She had worked hard to come up with a price and there was no doubt she knew her job.Once the bid was accepted, there was an inspection and it was time to see to it all the things were done that needed to be. At one point, to prove there wasn’t a problem, Sonya did a video showing that things worked as they should. I got an estimate to fix the other things and Sonya thought it was way too much and found me someone I could trust to do the work right and be more reasonable. She wasn’t going to let anyone take advantage of her client, lol.I had no idea there were so many legalities involved in selling a house. Sonya knew these like the back of her hand and led me every step of the way. After signing, Sonya pulled me to the side and gave me a gift. She had taken an older U.S. flag and a UT flag I had left on our deck when I couldn’t get them down and had them mounted in a picture to be saved forever. Needless to say, that was one of the most thoughtful things ever done for me. I will always appreciate Sonya for helping me through one of the hardest times of my life. One of the best things that came out of that sale was the friendship we have developed. Sonya Dodd is more than a realtor, she is a caring individual striving to make her client and her friend, happy. I would advise anyone to go see Sonya not only for her knowledge and expertise but to make a new friend in the process.

Being out of state buyers, we could not have asked for a better realtor! She was professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and easy to work with. I had no worries being our of state and putting our trust in her abilities to help find us the perfect property. I would definitely use Sonya again or would recommend her to any of my friends and relatives.

My husband and I found a post on Maryville Speaks Out for Realtor recommendations and Sonya was listed more than a few time. We reached out to her and she was very responsive. She came to our house that week to look it over and give us some pointers on getting ready to sell and in less that two weeks we had it on the market. We were under contract within three days of our first showing, that did fall through but no fault on our side. This was our first time selling and Sonya kept us well informed and was very knowledgeable about our area and the surrounding comps.We only viewed one home during this time because we wanted to get our home almost to the finish line before getting our hearts set on a new one. I contacted her late at night and she had us a showing the very next morning! She was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had no matter how late.We didn’t have the opportunity to look at other homes with her because we were lucky enough for a home we loved to fall into our laps, however the sellers were not working with a realtor and doing for sale by owner and we were not comfortable working going through the process without someone on our side and Sonya took care if everything. She met with the sellers and worked everything out for us!She was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to anyone! She also has great food recommendation!

I can’t say enough good things about Sonya! She helped us sell our first home and is currently helping us buy our second home. Sonya is very responsive, knows what to look for in the home buying/selling process, and really went to bat for us. She kept us very informed on our options and what to watch out for. She listed our home on a Thursday and we were under contract that Saturday night! Sonya has the tools, inside knowledge and reputation to get the job done right. After working with Sonya I can’t imagine working with another realtor.

We met Sonya Dodd at a local seminar for first time home buyers. The various professionals of real estate that were at the seminar offered an incredible wealth of knowledge, which made the process easier than we had anticipated. We asked Sonya to help us find our first home due to how knowledgeable, kind, and forthright she is. Being brand new to this process, we had so many questions and concerns but Sonya was able to help us address what was truly important to us while also making smart decisions. My wife works third shift and I work during the day so ample communication is scarce. Sonya went above and beyond by making after hours phone calls between the three of us to ensure that we understood offers, terms, etc. and explained everything along the way. She was always patient with our questions and concerns. Even though she had other clients we found that she was available to us the whole time during our process. Without her knowledge and sincere dedication, we never could have found the ideal home in our price range with the list of needs and wants we were asking for. We are beyond grateful for all the time and effort she spent with us, making our first home buying experience a great one! We would most certainly recommend Sonya Dodd to anyone.

Sonya was an amazing for us. It's not easy moving from one state to another but she was there the whole way, always helping us, adding things we needed, dealing with a difficult seller and being so patient with us on our journey. We still talk and I consider her my friend.

Upon learning of our relocation out of state, Sonya was able to list and sell our home in record time making our move incredibly seamless. In a process that can easily become stressful, her knowledge of the industry combined with her genuine compassion for us as her clients made this sale as pleasant as possible. Her working relationship with other professionals in the area was an added bonus when we needed a minor repair and a second opinion. Sonya is very professional and her communication skills during the process go unmatched. She went above and far beyond to make sure our minds were at ease so we could focus on our move and what came next. We only wish we could have brought her with us to Minnesota! After looking through many review My wife and myself chose to go with Sonya, because she would suit our needs. She was very quick to contact us back, and came out and spoke with us. She explained the market and suggested when would be the best time to list. Once she put it on the market we had a contract within 24 hours. Through the contract process she kept in constant contact and up to date on what was going on. This was our first experience selling and she made it a breeze. I would recommend Sonya to anyone that is looking to sell or buy.
