She feels that being a REALTOR is about more than joining professional associations, she believes REALTORS should be involved in the communities where they work as well. She has served her community in many capacities from Friends of Hospice to Volunteering at her Children’s School.
Having lived in many parts of New York, including Long Island, Manhattan and Upstate New York she has a strong ability to relate to and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and understands the need and concerns of clients who are relocating.

Theresa is phenomenal from start to finish. Even when things didn’t go as planned with another finance company I originally worked it. Theresa was able to pick up the ball that they dropped and redirected me to someone else who can get the job done. Buying our first home out of state couldn't have been any better. Working with Theresa Shoptaw was a joy. She was very knowledgeable about homes and home ownership. I grew to trust her with her knowledge. I ran into issues with my first bank but Theresa directed me to someone who actually took care of me from beginning to end of my loan process. Again because of her knowledge, I took a chance on an As-Is property. While viewing the property she helped me to focus on the bones and not cosmetics. Because of her expertise we submitted an offer which was accepted. Our inspection didn’t reveal anything major; only regular wear and tear. It also appraised $15,000 higher than offered. She was always upbeat even when I was starting to lose faith. I love her spirit. I will definitely recommend her to my family and friends. ????????????????????????

Theresa with Exit LandMark and her lender Mike with Suntrust were amazingly helpful. My wife and I had been working with a different team until I met Theresa at an open house. She immediately put us at ease, we sat down told her what we wanted and she found it. Mike was great, he sat with us and made certain that we not only got an amazing deal, but that we understood everything; no surprises. The stories of bad agents and lenders did not apply with these guys. VERY PROFESSIONAL. I have already referred them to my family and friends and the results were the same.

Theresa is the real estate agent you are always looking for; she is not there to find you a house and move to the next customer, she is there to find you that perfect home instead. We had very particular requirements for cost, area, schools, and size, Theresa continued to work with us until we found exactly what we were looking for. After our price was accepted and the paperwork mill started, she still didn’t stop, pushing the process through its paces as quickly as possible, making sure everyone did their job along the way. Teresa was very patient with us during our home buying process. She took us to see houses for 4 days in total before we decided on a home to buy. She displayed great attention to detail when helping us examine a home and decide if it was right for us or not. She also made sure that we got a fair price on our house. My husband and I was not happy with our Bank and the confusion they put us through in selling our home, but Ms. Shoptaw helped us get through it. She treated us as if we were her only customers. She was attentive to our concerns and addressed them in a timely manner. Her professionalism was more than we could have expected. I was retiring from active duty overseas, and Theresa was the only real estate agent who responded to my multiple emails sent to agencies - STAR 1. She was extremely knowledgeable about my remaining VA loan and actually taught me things as only a 2nd-time home buyer - STAR 2. We were dealing with a sea of short sale properties. We were both searching, and whenever I wanted to view a property, Theresa got me in to view as many as I wanted to look at - STAR 3. After going into contract, the closing became like a major migraine because selling agent was not completely transparent with us. I was going broke living in a hotel with my family, and Theresa bent over backwards to close on our new home as quickly as possible - STAR 4. I've only worked with three agents in two states, but if I could work with Theresa on every future sale or purchase, I would without hesitation. She's outstanding in every aspect - STAR 5!!!
