Jim Davey received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University in 1986 with a Major in Real Estate. Jim´s twenty plus years experience prior to starting DAVEY Properties includes being a top producing Real Estate Broker with Cypress Realty & Mortgage and Prudential California Realty representing the top 3-6% of agents nationwide. In addition, he was a Chief Appraiser and Real Estate Consultant for TRW as well as the principal and owner of Davey Appraisal Services. Jim also spent a number of years as a Financial Consultant with Crossroads Capital Management and AXA Advisors, specializing in Investment Management and Estate Planning. He has his CA Real Estate Broker´s License and has held a Series 7 Securities License, a Series 66 Investment Advisors License, a CA State Insurance License and a Certified Residential Appraiser's License.

Jim, his wife and four children reside in the La Costa Area of Carlsbad just north of Encinitas. In addition to his strong work ethic, Jim still finds time to give back to the community. He has been actively involved with fundraising and event planning for the local Elementary School including; the Tee Off for Technology Golf Event, helping to implement the Peace Patrol, supporting the Reading Challenge Program, the Math 24 District Event and the Jog-A-Thon. Jim has also supported various programs at La Costa Canyon High School and the San Diego State University´s Aztec Athletic Foundation. Jim has enjoyed coaching and refereeing for the AYSO and Lighting youth soccer leagues as well as coaching in the LCYO baseball program. His hobbies include a variety of outdoor activities such as cycling, running, hiking, golfing and going to the beach. Many weekends you will find Jim out on the soccer fields supporting his children.

Jim Davey is currently an affiliate of the California Department of Real Estate holding a Broker's License. Jim has a CRS designation earned through his experience and expertise from the Council of Residential Specialists. He has also held a Certified Residential Appraiser´s License during his 16 years of appraising through the California Office of Real Estate Appraisers. He has also testified as an Expert Witness in the Real Estate Industry. Jim is currently a member of the North County Board of Realtors. This association upholds a strict code of ethics as well as requiring continued education. This ensures that their members are up to date on the latest marketing techniques, valuation analysis and legislation affecting the Real Estate Industry.  Jim recently acquired the Fine Homes designation which is awarded to sales associates who manage clients who properties represent the top 10% of the marketplace.  He also keeps current on industry trends, market conditions, laws and regulations with the Real Estate and Realtor® publications.
