Housing whose rental payments are reduced because of aid granted by the federal, state, or local governments, private enterprises, or individuals. For example, monthly rental payments for elderly individuals living in senior citizen subsidized housing complexes are significantly lower than the e fair market value of these payments due to federal subsidies.
