Form 5500
Form that reports the status and activity of retirement plans to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The IRS uses this form to determine whether a retirement plan is in compliance with all requirements. Form 5500 must be filed with the IRS by the last day of the seventh month following the plan's year-end.
