Widely accepted standard policy forms that have been developed by various rating bureaus or insurance companies. Some forms are required by state law, and some are used by custom. In some cases provisions are mandated, but a form is not. Even so, many companies use the same forms, which become widely recognized as the standard for certain types of risk.
