Construction materials from stone, brick, and concrete block. Masonry materials play an important role in providing structural support as well as being used as decorative finish surfaces. There are two general classifications of masonry:

  1. Masonry made from cast-in-place concrete.
  2. masonry made from built-up or unit masonry joined together by mortar. This type of masonry includes brick, stone and concrete blocks.
