Customer (custom) Builder
Builder who builds homes or other buildings to the specification of his customer. Normally the homes and other structures are presold. The customer builder may also build a few on speculation or "spec houses". The customer builder builds only a few homes at a time, whereas the developer uses mass production in producing many homes at once.
